In order of precedence of the university, the treasurer being appointed by the Chancellor ranks fourth among those positions, which are mentioned in the university gazette. As a member of syndicate, finance committee, and other important bodies of the university, the treasurer accomplishes important duties & responsibilities.

The treasurer overseas and safeguards the funds, finance, and properties of the university. Also ensures whether the funds, grants, and allocations are being properly spent and utilized against the respective fields of expenditure.

The treasurer as a Chair of the Policy Formation Committee plays a pivotal role to meet the demands and ensure the facilities of the teachers, officers, and employees.

In addition, the treasurer accomplishes routine tasks and holds the offices as assigned by the Act and Rules of the university.
