Director (External Affairs) post is created by Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Act which is directly controlled by the Vice Chancellor of the University. Director (External Affairs) is maintaining the work based learning (WBL) i.e. internship. Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) has introduced an innovative 40 weeks long work-based learning program (Internship) as an integral part of the five years long Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) course. So far, nine batches of final year DVM students have undertaken this programme and 10th batch will start in January 2010. From the very inception this programme we have included Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University as one of its placements and it appeared to be the most successful program for professional development and enhancement of cultural relationship.
