Department of Dairy & Poultry Science
This department is one of the important department amongst the nine departments of this university comprises with two separate discipline(Dairy Science and Poultry Science).Dairy and Poultry sector is playing a pivotal role in Bangladesh contributing food security and nutrition to the people of this country. We have skilled teachers in both of this discipline. Both practical and theoretical classes are offered for the students of undergrad and post grad as well, degree on master courses on both Dairy & Poultry Sciences are offered separately with two different curricula and teaching and research techniques. Moreover, master on Poultry Production and Health also offered centrally in association with this department particularly poultry science. We are going to launch soon Ph.D degrees on the both of this discipline (Dairy & Poultry Science) separately in the foreseeable future.

The Department of Dairy & Poultry Science has preeminent programs in teaching research and extension that will continue to serve societal needs related to the poultry, meat, eggs, poultry meat and egg products, dairy milk and meat ,milk products and related feed mills and food industries.

Building upon its tradition of excellence the Department of Dairy & Poultry Science discovers develops and disseminates scientific knowledge producing well equipped veterinary graduates with integrated knowledge to advance the poultry ,dairy and food industries ,feed mills, poultry and dairy farms & industries.
Aims & Objectives
To teach different subjects in respect to poultry Science , Dairy Science and Animal Science with latest information on modern technology..
To generate appropriate poultry & livestock technologies through research for the well being of the farmers at the grass root level which will help the poverty reduction.
To establish a well equipped poultry research & Dairy laboratory for student and services to the local poultry and dairy farmers..
To publish scientific research oriented papers, bulletin and other information into national and international journal.
To develop the university as a unique institution so that the graduates produced out of it can cope with the challenges of 21st century.
