Tofazzal Md. Rakib has been working as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) since 2018. He is a registered member of the Bangladesh Veterinary Council. He served as a lecturer at the Dept. of Pathology and Parasitology of CVASU from 2016 to September 2018. He holds an MS degree in Pathology and a DVM degree with the first position from CVASU.

Now, Mr. Rakib is enrolled as a doctoral student at the laboratory of clinical pathology at Kagoshima University, Japan. His doctoral research encompasses pathophysiology and molecular characterization of genetic disorders in animals.

1. Establishment of non-invasive DNA sexing facility for exotic and pet bird species. Funded by Higher Education and Research division, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Khulshi, Chattogram for 2018-2020. Role in the project: Co-investigator

2. Monitoring and surveillance of duck diseases in Hakaluki and Tanguar haor and development of suitable vaccination models and other preventive strategies. Funded by National Agricultural Technology Program Phase-II Project, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) for  2017-2018

3. Molecular characterization of multidrug-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) from subclinical mastitis milk sample in cattle and goat and to identify the clonal lineage. Funded by higher education and research division, CVASU for 2016-2017. Role in the project: Co-investigator.
